My Trip

A compact half-day trip to Dazaifu, reachable by train from Tenjin/Hakata. This classic suburban loop covers the food stalls of the approach road (sando), the famous Starbucks, the main hall, and the garden, all on foot. (The main hall is under a roughly once-in-124-years restoration, so the temporary 'floating shrine' topped with a forest is itself a sight to see.)
